Xiaomeng Zeng earned these awards at ISEF:

Xiaomeng Zeng wins in Intel Science Talent Search.
- On March 11, EISEF Senior Champion Xiaomeng Zeng placed 7^th (out of 40 finalists) in the Intel Science Talent Search.

  Xiaomeng Zeng from Iowa City and Shelby Sieren from Keota.
  
  They won at EISEF in Cedar Rapids. Now they're headed to the International Science and Engineering Fair in Atlanta, May 11–17.
- Statistics:
  - 217 students attended, with 171 exhibits.
  - 106 judges interviewed them.
  - They received 180 awards in all.

EISEF student in the news
Shelby Sieren spoke at Renewable On Parade in Washington, Iowa, about her 2007 experiment "Glycerin Increasing the Burn in Biomass".

Senior students & teachers: You need to review the ISEF rules—they've changed for 2008.
- The ISEF 2008 Rules and Guidelines FAQ has a link "Can I use last year's forms?" (It strongly recommends using the 2008 forms.)
  - The EISEF Forms Guide requires you to use the 2008 ISEF forms.
- The ISEF website has a document that highlights the rules changes for 2008.

It's time to start the 2008 EISEF season. Come to the first EISEF Board meeting and see what it takes to put on a science fair!
